It may be lockdown , but our patients don’t know this! Meet Ziggy.

He has had recurrent problems of not being able to urinate. He keeps forming bladder stones that block his urethra so the wee can’t flow out, causing a large, painful, distended bladder requiring urgent medical attention. He has had all the correct management, but sometimes that is not enough, so surgery is needed.

Male cats have an S bend to their very narrow urethra, which is the most common place for a blockage.

Colin has opened out the S bend and widened the opening for urine to flow out so Ziggy should not have to suffer blocking again

We wish him a swift recovery so he can wave goodbye to his bright blue collar!
